Madison started at ArtWorks in September 2020. Artistic expression runs in Madison’s family; her parents made art during their college years and until this day, they sometimes sit down with her to create together. Aside from that, she has made art on her own. When she was hospitalized, she created simple drawings and crafts; they helped her make friends and feel comfortable. During this time in her life, she realized that artmaking is something she really enjoyed. She has been in other art-focused programs such as Arts for All and Art Awakenings. Her favorite kinds of art are sketches, paintings and miniatures; moreover, she is inspired by artists like Camilla d’errico, Studio Ghibli, anime, fantasy and fiction. Madison’s art pieces are meticulous, quirky and cute in style. She wants the viewer to know that her art pieces are very real and that they are meaningful to her. In the future, Madison would like to be famous, learn animation and makeup effects. Outside of making art, she likes to listen to music, loves being outside, looking at different cultures and visiting family.
