Thanks to a new contract with Banner – University Family Care/AHCCCS Complete Care, the UA Department of Family and Community Medicine’s Camp Wellness and Workforce Development Program are able to reach more individuals with mental-health conditions and substance-use disorders.

The University of Arizona Camp Wellness and Workforce Development Program (WDP) signed a new contract with Banner – University Family Care/AHCCCS Complete Care (ACC), enabling both programs to reach more adults with mental-health conditions and substance-use disorders.

Both programs are administered by RISE (Recovery thru Integration, Support and Empowerment), in the UArizona Department of Family and Community Medicine.

Classes are customizable to individual goals and help people live longer, happier and healthier lives.

The nationally recognized Workforce Development Program provides peer-delivered programs that help individuals realize their recovery goals through the program’s Integrated Healthcare Recovery Support Specialist Certification, the Wellness Recovery Action Program® and the Parent and Family Specialist Certification.

“We now can serve more people in need,” said Adria Powles, WDP program manager. “This new contract will empower us to help individuals be more hopeful, have additional choices and better employment opportunities.”
