I completed my undergraduate degree in physiologic sciences at the University of Arizona in 2005.I also received my MD from the University of Arizona (do you see the trend here?) in 2010.I chose the U of A's family medicine program because it offered a diverse patient population to care for along with the plenty of opportunity to learn all while staying in the city my husband and I have come to love and call home. Tucson's location along the border provides a nesting ground for a wonderful mix of culture and also provides an interesting place to learn and practice medicine. I have a strong interest in sports medicine and nutrition and love to educate my patients about using food to fuel their bodies and minds. After residency, I took a position within a group practice here in Tucson, AZ.
I am a Wildcat fan through and through. In my free time you can find me cheering for the Wildcats, spending time with my husband and our families, baking, cooking, traveling when possible, learning about nutrition, and spending time with our two rambunctious Boston Terriers named Cooper and Spencer.
I was born and raised on a farm in Minnesota, however I have been calling Tucson my home since 2001.
