Career Story:
After I graduated from the residency I started with the Department of Family and Community Medicine as a faculty member. Later, I was Program Director for about 12.5 years, then Chief of Staff of University Medical Center for a year before becoming co-chair of Department with Paul Gordon. After 6 years I stopped administrative duties and focused on clinical teaching in the in- and out-patient setting, as well as for the Maternal Child Health service. I have been a mentor in the College of Medicine Societies program teaching history and physicals and clinical decision-making to first- and second-year medical students since 2006.
