First job out of residency was with the student health service at University of Colorado at Boulder, where I worked for 5 years. Then I moved to Fairbanks, Alaska for job with Indian Health Service, working for a year at what is now called the Chief Andrew Isaac Health Center. I then joined a private practice in Fairbanks that was owned by a British orthopedist who was buying out family practices, and worked there for 2 years. After that, I open my own practice in Fairbanks and practiced there for nearly 16 years. The practice had a niche in fibromyalgia, and I received referrals from many local physicians of patients with that diagnosis. I retired in 1999 when I developed multiple sclerosis.
Opening my own practice for keeping it going for 15+ years.
First female president of Fairbanks Medical Association. Got involved with tort reform in Alaska flying around the state.
